Hi all! November was super packed for us at Alkemio, with plenty of opportunities to connect, collaborate, and champion public interest technology. It was also an opportunity to raise more awareness about our work building a (still too rare...) example of a tech company with public interests guaranteed.

A month full of insights for us and for Public Interest Tech
From discussing ethical AI at the Aligning Public Tech Unconference to fostering new relationships at Slush 2024, we’ve seen a consistent theme: transformative solutions emerge when diverse communities unite. Whether addressing trust in digitalization or exploring alternative economic models, these events reinforce Alkemio’s mission to harness collective action for societal impact.
We’re also happy to share that our CEO, Neil Smyth, represented Alkemio at the Centre for Future Generations annual conference in Brussels in December. He shared insights on bridging technology and public interest to drive positive change, to show that Europe can also say 'yes' to creating public interest tech solutions in addition to saying 'no' by regulating existing big tech.
